About this Post….
In today’s post I share relatable stories around how I’ve been dimming my light to stay safe, and some simple ways for us all to step in to our POWER that can be used in every area of our lives.
What do I really mean….
When I say owning my power, what I really mean is believing in myself, and what I’m offering to the world.
When I first started writing this, I wondered if it was going to be relevant for any of the readers and listeners, because I’m referring very much to my business and soul mission, however I really do think that what I’m sharing can apply to any area of your life, including relationships, work, and your own self love journey.
So let’s get into it.
Constructive criticism…
So I got some feedback from a few people from my last raves, that felt slightly uncomfortable, but also extremely valid, and deep down I knew it was the truth, and it’s something that I want to address deeply in 2025.
And that is, that during one of my raves, I was apologetic and nervous, and didn’t “own “ the stage enough.
This is something that I am very aware of. I really suffer with nerves on the lead up to an event, and during it. But afterwards, I feel extremely confident, and rooted in my power.
It’s why if you come to Happy Place Festival, or to a weekend of raves, I’m much more confident in the latter events, because I can feel my power much more on the stage.
And it’s not just nerves, there’s also a lot of disempowerment leading up to event for me that shows up.
But the thing is, I’ve seen the difference it makes to all of these situations when I’m in my power versus not.
And I want to feel that power before and during events from now on. The women who I am here to serve need to feel that energy from the moment they walk into the room - it’s a fundamental part of them feeling safer. And I’m not just referring to my raves here, this is also for the women I give talks to, to you, my lovely Substack readers, and to anyone who I spread the message of self love and being more disco ball too.
If I’m not fully believing in myself, how can anyone else fully believing themselves.
I also believe that the energy of self belief and empowerment supports growth and expansion, which I really want for 2025. In addition, one my goals for this year is growing my team, and they need a strong leader.
And so today I want to delve deep into this with you. Im going to share how disempowerment shows up, why it shows up, and how I’m going to navigate it.
I’m really hoping the essence of today’s post is going to help you tap into more power, wherever you need it in your life.
